Impact Investors

According to the Monitor Institute, impact investors can be defined as “investors who actively place capital in businesses and funds that generate social and/or environmental good and at least return nominal principal to the investor.” Impact investors are a wide ranging set of investors that include the following categories:

  • Foundations
  • Faith-based investors
  • Mainstream financial institutions
  • Pension and mutual funds
  • Insurance companies
  • Double and triple bottom-line Venture Capital and Private Equity funds
  • Family offices and high net worth individuals
  • Registered investment advisors and certified financial planners

Several national and international organizations of impact investors exist including the Global Impact Investor Network, Investor’s Circle, ANDES, Social Venture Network and the Slow Money Movement. Mission Markets is striving to address the needs of these groups and other impact investors.

Registration Process

Thank you for your interest in becoming an investor on the Mission Markets Private Capital Marketplace. You will be joining a growing group of inspired investors seeking an alternative to the trials and tribulations of Wall Street – investors seeking blended returns.

In compliance with FINRA, only accredited investors will be permitted to use the password-protected system (link to definition of accredited investors).

The steps required to become an investor member on Mission Markets include the following:

1) Register as an “investor” on www.missionmarkets.com by providing basic contact information, as well as attesting to your status as an accredited investor (as defined by FINRA) and agreeing to the Mission Markets Terms and Conditions.

2) You will receive an email to verify your email address. By following the link provided in the automatic generated email, you will confirm your address and then be taken to the login page on Mission Markets. Complete your organizational profile by providing information about yourself and your organization.

3) A member of Mission Markets staff may contact you during this process in order to confirm your accredited investor status and to gather more information on your investment objectives

4) After Mission Markets confirms your accredited investor status, you are granted full access to the platform

5) Log in using your chosen username and password

6) Once all of the required details of your organizational are completed on the platform, you will be able to view offerings on the platform.
